This cup magnet is made of ceramic ring magnet and a chrome plated steel cup. The ceramic ring magnet is bonded inside of the cup with adhesive. This arrangement greatly increases the holding power of the magnet and at the same time provides the protection to the magnet so it becomes much more durable.
The holding power of this magnetic assembly is about 6.8kg with a direct contact with the steel. The outer diameter of the magnet is 36mm. The mounting hole in the center is 4.5mm which allows a M4 screw pass through. The total thickness of the assembly is 6mm.
